The Medical Research Council and the University of Cambridge are the primary sponsors of the project. The MRC provides intra-mural support for core CALM staff (Head of CALM – Dr Joni Holmes; Investigator Scientist – Dr Jacalyn Guy; Research Assistant – Fánchea Daly; and Research Support Tina Emery). Clinic testing is conducted by Fánchea Daly and Jacalyn Guy and by a team of researchers supported either by the MRC or external grants/ studentships associated with the research programmes of Astle, Kievit, Baker, Manly and Gathercole.
The local NHS Research Ethics Committee granted ethical approval for CALM and its longitudinal follow-up, CALM II.
